Property FAQ's

Why do we need another fast food joint?

Domino's isn't a fast food business. We sell hot, delivered meals that are made to order using high quality fresh ingredients.

Does a Domino's store generate unwanted noise, smell and traffic?

Absolutely not! Our stores generate very low levels of noise and smell. By using state-of-the-art ventilation, we avoid causing disruption to the lives of local people. Where traffic is concerned, 70% of our business is home delivery so very few of our customers need to park up and queue inside the store for their pizzas.

Do Domino's products require frying?

None of the items on the menus requires frying. Deep-fat fryers create smell and result in inferior quality food so at Domino's we bake our pizzas and side orders in gas-fired ovens designed specifically for the purpose.

Does a Domino's store create high volumes of litter?

No. The majority of Domino's customers consume their pizzas at home, even those who choose to collect their orders. Having said that, Domino's team members are still trained to keep their store immaculatley clean inside and out.

How are deliveries of fresh dough and ingredients made to the stores?

Domino's has a fleet of delivery vehicles that distribute fresh ingredients to our stores from company-owned production and warehouse facilities in Milton Keynes, Penrith and Naas. Drivers are provided with store location maps that highlight special access requirements. Delivery times are also sensitively planned  to avoid disruptions and prevent congestion. The effective running of the entire distribution network is closely monitored by Domino's senior management.

Has Domino's opened stores in listed or conservation areas?

Yes, we have. Our store design is flexible and enables a bespoke approach where required.

Does being franchised mean there's less control over the operation?

Not at all. Our franchisees are given enough autonomy to ensure they operate in a way that suits their local area but they must still adhere to strict quality, safety and image regulations that Domino's enforces through store visits and frequent appraisals. We have the right to remove a store from a franchisee who we believe to be a sub-standard operator and have no hesitation in doing so when required.
